Serbian Defense minister classifies procedure to determine data secrecy

According to the Official Military Gazette, “the minister decided to declare the elements and procedures used in security assessments of secret data in the ministry and Serbian Armed Forces (VS) a military secret at level internal”.  

The decision stated that the disclosure of that secret to any unauthorized person would inflict damage on the ministry and the military and prevent them from doing their job. The decision to classify the procedure was taken to prevent damage and is based on law on classified information and a decree on criteria to determine the level of secrecy. Under that law, the level of classification is decided by the government at the suggestion of the ministry or its officials.
