IMF delegation in first meeting with Serbian authorities

A delegation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) met with a delegation of the Serbian authorities at the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) on Friday, a press release said.

The IMF delegation, headed by Jan Kees Martijn, is in Belgrade to review the results of the advisory arrangement with Serbia – the Policy Coordination Instrument (PCI) which was approved for a period of 30 months in July 2018 and does not include financial support.

The NBS press release said the Serbian delegation at the plenary meeting was headed by NBS Governor Jorgovanka Tabakovic and government officials.

The IMF delegation will discuss fiscal, monetary and overall macro-economic trends during its visit which ends on October 15. It will also review the implementation of defined quantitative and reform goals, the press release said.
