Kosovo officials counting votes from Serbia in protective garments

Central Election Commission staff reported allergic reactions when they started counting parliamentary election ballots which had been brought in from Serbia and posted at a post office in Pristina. The ballots were quarantined and an investigation was launched but no toxic materials were reported to have been identified.

The votes are being counted by Commission staff wearing protective garments.

Elezi said the votes have to be verified before being counted, adding that the Commission has support from the Kosovo Police including what he said was logistics equipment.
