Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic denied any involvement in arms deals, saying that he would not longer remain head of state if any proof of that is found.

I will no longer be President if anyone finds evidence that “I sold a single bullet to any company, earning a single Dinar”, he told reporters in Brussels after meeting European Commission officials. “If anyone finds anything, that I sold a single bullet to any company and earned just one Dinar in any way, I am no longer president,” Vucic told the pro-government TV Pink.

He said he was “embarrassed to have to respond to those accusations”. “I never even sold a slingshot in my life,” he said. Vucic said the Palestinians that opposition MP Marinika Tepic claims were involved in arms deals and were on Interpol warrants were part of an official delegation and were not wanted by Interpol.

Tepic told reporters last week that then Defense Minister Vucic mediated in “state arms trade contracts with Libya” and demanded to know whose interests were served when the Serbian ambassador and two embassy staff were killed in that country. Tepic named two Palestinians as mediators in what she said are “the worst contracts with the UAE over Air Serbia, the Belgrade Waterfront and arms deals”.
