US special envoy for Western Balkans to continue regional talks

US Secretary of State Special Representative for the Western Balkans Matthew Palmer is scheduled to continue his visit to the region next week with a visit to Belgrade, where he will meet with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and other officials.

According to the US Embassy in Belgrade, Palmer is expecting a meeting with Vucic and other officials, as well as ambassadors from neighbouring countries and representatives of various political parties to discuss the importance of returning to the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, as well as other issues of regional importance.

In talks with Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, on Friday, Palmer focused his attention on the issue of reaching a comprehensive agreement between Kosovo and Serbia, Thaci's cabinet said.
