Minister Stefanovic proposes amendments to passport law

He said the amendments allow private citizens to request new passports six months or more before the expiration date to allow them to travel to countries that demand passport validity of three or more months on entry.

The loss of a passport can be reported on the ministry web site, he said.

Stefanovic recalled that the current law on travel documents was adopted in 2007 and amended in 2014, adding that the new changes are being proposed following to make the process more efficient.
