A group of students and teachers at a music school in Novi Sad have set a Guinness record in the number of people playing a single piano, the OPENS2019 web site reported on Friday.
The previous record was held by high school students in the Netherlands. The group in Novi Sad managed to get 23 people on a single piano at city hall in September and their record has been confirmed, the portal said. They played a piece titled Dawn by student Ivan Markovic which he wrote for the occasion.
The event was organized by the Novi Sad European Youth Capital organization (OPENS2019). It was streamed on social networks from the central Freedom Square and was preceded by open public classes in four locations in the center of that northern Serbian city.
