Ristic was reported by the Balkan Investigative Research Network (BIRN) to have headed a delegation of the Internal Affairs Ministry (MUP) on a visit to the Beretta arms factory in Italy along with a delegation of the private GIM company whose representatives included owner Goran Todorovic and the father of the Internal Affairs Minister Branko Stefanovic.

Ristic was assistant to the Director of Police at the time of the visit earlier this year. Earlier, he held the post of cabinet chief to Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic.
