
The Montenegrin police arrested a large group of people charged with trafficking people and fraud, Podgorica media reported on Wednesday quoting police sources.
According to the Montenegrin state TV (RTCG), the police arrested some 90 people in several locations in the capital in an operation against people traffickers.
Vijesti daily said that more than 50 Taiwanese nationals were arrested, including trafficking organizers and victims. It added that the operation was underway in several places across the country.
Police sources told the daily that the group operated in Slovenia and Croatia, adding that the operation was launched in cooperation with the police in Taiwan. Members of the group have also been charged with online fraud.
