The Supernova cable operator, which is owned by Telekom Serbia, removed United Media channels from its offer on Saturday after a distribution contract expired and was not renewed.

Supernova issued a statement saying that an agreement with Telekom was not reached to continue distributing United Media channels. “We regret to inform the citizens that, despite our desire for United Media programs to remain in Supernova’s offer, we have failed to reach an agreement with Telekom,” United Media said.  

The Supernova operator’s legal grounds to distribute United Media channels expired on December 31. The company management was offered almost the same market conditions as before but unfortunately, our cooperation did not continue, United Media said.  

As of today, Supernova cable operator customers can no longer watch N1, Sport Klub, Pikaboo, Vavoom, Cinemania, Hunting and Fishing and Grand.    

“We hope that there is still room to find a solution in the interest of users and to continue the years of cooperation which existed with the Radijus Vektor and Kopernikus operators who have become the Supernova network,” the United Media statement said.  

It recalled that the state-owned operator Posta NET cancelled cooperation with United Media a month ago without an explanation.  

In just 50 days, some 300,000 households, clients of the two state-owned operators Posta NET and Supernova have lost the choice of watching programs owned by United Media.  

United Media would like to inform everyone who is interested that our channels can be watched through SBB packages or TOTAL TV and can do so very simply through the EON platform anywhere in Serbia without contractual obligation.
