A spokesman for the organizer, the Law School Students’ Club, told the crowd that the government had not responded to three demands made a month earlier. “We want it to break off the 2014 agreement which allows Montenegrin diplomats to be in Serbian embassies because they are jeopardizing the Serb people in Montenegro and have no place in those embassies. We want this issue raised to a higher level and the Council of Europe and Security Council informed,” Nemanja Vuckovic said.
The gathering was addressed by war-time reporter Milijana Baletic who is known for her fiercely nationalist reports during the 1990s, The crowd marched to the Serbian government headquarters chanting We Won’t Give Up Holy Sites and the name of convicted Bosnian Serb war time military chief Ratko Mladic.
The Belgrade University Law School has a reputation as a focal point for nationalists for decades.
