At the 12th annual awarding ceremony 'The Lady and the Gentleman of the Year' the prominent women and men from public, economic and social life in Serbia and Europe receive the titles, and this year Gentleman is Ivica Dacic, Serbia's Foreign Minister, while the name of the Lady of the Year was not published on the organiser's website, N1 reported.
The Foreign Ministry quoted Dacic as saying that "this flattering title presents that courage, perseverance and unwavering, but also hard work, has paid off."
"The greatest thanks goes to her who lived and empowered my idea with me; she who has always been righteous; she who has always trusted in me; she, the most courageous woman who, by created a family with me, wrote history. The mother of my children – my Sonja," Dacic said.
He added he grew up in a humble family with his mother and sister and that the two had insisted on real values during his childhood and maturating.
"The respect of women who mostly bring everything that life carries remains my guiding star even after so many years," the Foreign Ministry quoted Dacic as saying.
The organisers haven't yet published who was awarded the Lady of the Year 2020 title.
