Schools in Serbia closed but teaching via state RTS 3 TV, and RTS Planet starts

Remote education will start on TV screens and contents will be aired on Serbia’s state RTS 3 TV and RTS Planet channel for all pupils of the primary and secondary schools, the Ministry of Education has said on Monday.

The Government has announced that plan after deciding to shut down all educational institutions to prevent the spreading of coronavirus and follow the rules implemented by the state of emergency.

The Ministry said that the teaching would be modified within the existing programme.

The digital lessons will start on Tuesday at 8 am and will be held six days a week, for two hours a day, RTS and the Ministry said.

For the eighth-graders, the lessons will last three hours a day.

The plan is to start the digital education in the minorities’ languages in the next several days as well.
