Rasim Ljajic, Serbia's Trade Minister, said on Monday that the inspectors had the right of summary punishment for traders who raised the prices of products the Government froze at the March 5 level, adding the people complained mostly about the medical equipment like protective masks whose prices went up since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the Beta news agency reported.
"The fine is up to 2,000,000 Dinars (17,000 Euro) depending on the level of violation," Ljajic told B92 TV, adding the state froze the prices of 36 products, 16 of which were staples and the rest chemical products.
