The Government of Serbia adopted on Friday a decree on tax measures during the state of emergency declared on Sunday to ease the economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Beta news agency reported.
The Finance Ministry says in a statement the measures mean that during the state of emergency the tax authorities won’t cancel agreements on delay in paying tax debts, won’t use the enforced collection and won’t calculate the interest rate during that period.
“We know that the business community is in a difficult position and that the state should help them,” Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said.
Earlier this week the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) introduced a moratorium on all debts repayment like loans, leasing etc.
