Branislav Blazic, 53, Ministry of Environment State Secretary, died of COVID-19 on Wednesday, after being infected with coronavirus, N1 reported.
He was among five reported dead in the last 24 hours.
Five days ago Blazic had to be put on a respirator.
On Monday, he was reported in critical but stable condition.
Blazic is the first and so far the only casualty among Serbia’s Government staff. Everyone who was known to have been in contact with Blazic was tested, and no one was reported positive on the coronavirus
