A total of 588 people across Serbia violated the Friday to Monday curfew, a senior Internal Affairs Ministry official said on Tuesday.

 Ministry State Secretary Radovan Ilic told the state TV (RTS) that a total of 2,016 people had been caught violating the curfew since the state of emergency was imposed on March 15, adding that they had been ordered to pay 136 million Dinars in fines.  

lic said that none of the imates and detainees in prisons and detention units across the country had tested positive for the coronavirus.  

The state secretary said that trials of people caught violating the curfew or quarantine orders were held via Skype only if there is a risk of infection and added that 43 trials via Skype have been held.
