
The head of a children’s ward at a Belgrade hospital for coronavirus patients told the Serbian state TV that the ward has been filled to capacity, with an increase in the number of kids being treated there since last week.
Ward chief Dr Olivera Ostojic told the Serbian state TV (RTS) that 44 children and 26 mothers, including six babies, were being treated at the Dragisa Misovic Clinical Hospital Center. She said that the ward has been filled to capacity with a third of the patients from Belgrade and the rest from other parts of Serbia.
The doctor said that two of her patients are new-born babies with four more up to the age of six months. All of them are tested positive for the coronavirus but are not showing any symptoms, she said and added.
