Supporters and sympathisers of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) led by the head of state Aleksandar Vucic, organised a counter-protest during the curfew in Belgrade and the northern city of Novi Sad, mostly by lightening fireworks, while some residents in the capital yelled 'call N1.

Footage of the fireworks said to be launched from the rooftop of the state Srbijagas company in Novi Sad, in response to anti-regime noise protest, spread across social networks

Also in Novi Sad, according to the Autonimija Info website, a dozen young men lightened torches and fireworks from the rooftops.

The residents told the website that the group came by a white van carrying sound equipment in the afternoon and at 8:30 played slogans against Dragan Djilas, an opposition leader.

The residents called police saying the young men did not live in the building thus violating the curfew. Three police cars and a van arrived, and the officers entered the building.

Similar fireworks were filmed in Belgrade too.

On Friday, the residents in the Belgrade Karaburma district drove chased away young men from their building rooftop on Thursday night, preventing them to lighten firework in support of the regime.

They sent N1 a video clip of the event where it could be heard that they yelled 'call N1,' instead of calling the police, to drive the men away.

It could also be heard that a resident complained about a drone filming his children

The men did not live in the building and the residents told them not to come back to their neighbourhood ever again.
