Suzana Vasiljevic, President Aleksandar Vucic's media advisor, described on Monday the emotional video message by Dragan Djilas, an opposition leader, who said Vucic's supporters yelled insults to him 30 meters from where his small children lived, as "a cheap political performance," the FoNet news agency reported.

On Sunday night, a group of unknown people gathered despite the curfew and yelled "Djilas, thief," for several minutes.

Soon after, Djilas appeared outside the building where his family lived and visibly shaken shot a brief video in which he blamed Vucic for the intimidation of his children of seven and nine years of age, saying they cried and were scared.

However, Vasiljevic said that Djilas had been lately calling Vucic a lunatic and psychopath, while his supporters directly threatened the President and his family and that Djilas never asked himself how Vucic's children felt about it.

"Why would his (Djilas') children be more protected than President Vucic's," Vasiljevic told the pro0regime Prva TV, adding that Djilas' "obscure websites" daily published the worst insults to Vucic and his family.

In the video, Djilas called on people to make an atmosphere in which Vucic's, his and all children would live in normal circumstance.

Vasiljevic said that, as far as she heard, those who offended Djilas were not "under his windows, but on the rooftop of a nearby building.

She asked all media in Serbia not to involve children because they were not to blame for what their parents did.

Commenting on civil protest at 8:05 pm that is going on for a week from windows and balconies due to the curfew, Vsiljevic says the opposition has started it and the pro-regime supporters only respond.

However, she failed to answer what kind of permits for free movements during the curfew had those pro-regime supporters, adding that Vucic called on everyone to respect the curfew.

Later on Monday,

Two SNS female MPs joined Vasiljevic as describing Djilas’ video as “a horrible performance” in which he “played a fake nervous breakdown and worries for his children.”

Sandra Božić told reporters in the Parliament female SNS MPs who were mothers worried about their children and that “it’s not good to divide children on my, yours, Vucic’s or Djilas’", adding “Djilas played a supportive role."
