Serbian journalist, FoNet editor in chief Zoran Sekulic was awarded the Order of Merit by German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the news agency reported on Thursday.
The order of merit is awarded to German and foreign nationals for achievements in the fields of political, socio-economic and intellectual activity. The order was awarded to Sekulic, owner and founder of FoNet, for efforts in the fields of freedom of expression and the media.
The award was presented at a ceremony in his residence by Ambassador Thomas Schieb.
