Kosovo President Hashim Thaci said he would not run for president at the next elections nd would quit politics, Radio TV Kosovo reported on Friday.

“I will not be a candidate for president at the next elections. I will not return to any institutional position, parliament or government,” he is quoted as saying.  

Thaci said he was leaving politics after two decades “in a situation in which the country will be going in the right direction”.
