A group of supporters of Srdjan Nogo, an MP, gathered outside Serbia's parliament in Belgrade on Saturday to "elect peoples' deputies," despite the pre-election silence in the country which started on midnight Thursday and will last till Sunday night, N1 reported.
That is an unusual event since during the pre-election silence in Serbia, no political activities are allowed.
Nogo said he informed all respective institutions about the rally and since no one answered, he understood it as a permission.
A fence encircles the Parliament building, and police are present.

"People will elect their 250 deputies (the total number of MPs in Serbia's parliament) who "will enter the building and have a constitutional session, verify mandates, elect Parliament's bodies and then a government," Nogo said.
The next step would be "the change of the laws and constitution," he added.
