Domino effect: Three more infected with coronavirus at Adria Tour tennis event

After Bulgarian tennis player, Grigor Dimitrov was tested positive on coronavirus after returning from the Adria Tour regional humanitarian tournament in the Croatian coastal town of Zadar, three more tests came back positive, Sport Klub reported on Monday.

 The final match between Novak Djokovic and Andrey Rublev was cancelled on Sunday night after Grigorov broke the news on his Instagram profile.

The same night, 22 people were tested, and a Croatian player Borna Coric, Djokovi’s fitness coach Marco Paniki and Dimitrov’s coach Christian Groh were positive on the coronavirus.

Djokovic and his family were tested in Belgarde on Monday after returning from Zadar since the world number one on the ATP list and the organiser of the regional humanitarian Adria Tour did not have any symptoms. The other members of his team were negative on the new virus.

The results of his test are expecting during the day.

The three infected will remain in self-isolation in Zadar, pending a new test. No one has shown any symptoms so far.  

The organisers said the audience was not at risk.
