Coronavirus infections reported in Vojvodina government, Assembly

 The provincial government media office confirmed that two members of the Vojvodina government had been infected but refused to name the infected officials. The media office said that the officials and all of their contacts were in self-isolation.

Vojvodina Assembly Speaker István Pásztor released a statement saying that two assembly employees tested positive for the coronavirus. “All mandatory health and legal measures have been been taken for the two employees at the Vojvodina Assembly who tested positive for the coronavirus and their contacts. For the sake of prevention, additional protection measures have been implemented for all other employees to limit the possibility of the infection spreading,” the statement said.

Earlier, several officials from the ruling coalition, including Serbian parliament speaker Maja Gojkovic, tested positive for the coronavirus and have been hospitalized.
