Protest against restricted working hours in central Serbia
Dozens of citizens gathered in a protest in central town Cacak to raise their voice against the decision of city authorities to declare the state of emergency and restrict the working hours for catering facilities as a measure against the coronavirus epidemic.
The owners of bars and restaurants who gathered in the protest told the reporters that this decision will result in the shutdown of a large number of businesses in Cacak. They stressed none of them was contacted when such important decisions for their businesses was made.
Also, they wonder how come the same facilities in other cities are allowed to work until 11 pm, unlike their bars and restaurants that can now be open until 8 pm.
Owners of larger facilities aimed for various celebrations also expressed dissatisfaction with the decision of city authorities, noting they were forced to cancel many gatherings due to the state of emergency.
