NBS: 13 banks introduce IPS QR code paying since February

Serbia’s National Bank (NBS) said on Wednesday that 13 banks had introduced a new way of paying bills and invoices by scanning the NBS IPS QR code, the Beta news agency reported.

The banks that have such m-banking paying methods include the Raiffeisen Bank, Intesa, Eurobank, AIK Bank, Direktna Bank, Postanska Stedionica Bank, Komercijalna Bank, OTP, Sberbank, NLB Bank, Crédit Agricole, Erste and MTS Bank.

NBS said other banks were supposed to join them.

The NBS IPS QR code use utility companies and mobile providers like Elektroprivreda Srbije, Telekom Srbija, Telenor, VIP Mobile, JKP Informatika Novi Sad and an increasing number of other utility firms and local administrations.
