SPAS leader: Vucic hasn't offered anything, cooperation if key issue agreed on

Sapic is the only politician in Serbia whose list ‘Aleksandar Sapic – Victory for Serbia, won over Vucic’s Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) in the local elections in the country’s most populated municipality of New Belgrade.

After the meeting, Sapic told N1 Vucic hadn’t offered him anything and only informed him about pressing state issues.

The SPAS leader announced a new meeting in the next two weeks.

“If we agree about the key national topics, we’ll have cooperation, if not, there won’t be a collaboration,” Sapic said.

However, though earlier considered as a possible Vucic’s opponent, Sapic’s recent statements proved otherwise, and the opposition leaders saw him as a pro-regime politician.

Sapic had earlier said he could not exclude the participation in a new government.

 After talking to Sapic, Vucic is due to consult with his current coalition partner the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) and SNS.

Earlier, he met the representatives of the minority parties which won mandates based on the natural threshold.
