A group of dissatisfied Novi Pazar residents protested in front of the city hospital on Tuesday demanding to know the truth about the number of people who died of coronavirus-related ailments in that part of southwestern Serbia.

The crowd of some 50 people also demanded the dismissal of the local medical services chiefs and the emergency situations team. They carried banners demanding resignations and information and chanting slogans against hospital coordinator Dr Mirsad Djerlek. The gathering ended with the crowd applauding in support of doctors and nurses in Novi Pazar and other parts of Serbia and for everyone who sent aid.

Protest organizers said they would stage gatherings every day at 5:00 pm.
