Serbian customs officers prevent more than 650 illegal border crossings
The Serbian Customs Administration said on Thursday that customs officers prevented more than 650 migrants from crossing the border illegally this year.
A press release said that migrants are often found hiding in trucks at customs posts, some of which are far from the border.
It added that the latest case was of eight young migrants found by customs officers on August 5 at a customs post in the southern city of Nis. The truck had been sealed by North Macedonia customs officers before crossing into Serbia.
