NGO Transparency Serbia (TS) said on Monday that the ruling Serbian Progressive Party, SNS, led coalition 'Aleksandar Vucic for Our Children' spent some 5.8 million Euro in the campaign ahead of the parliamentary, provincial and local elections on June 21, citing corrected data from the Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) website.

Out of the total sum, almost four million Euro (467 million RSD) was from public sources, while nearly two million (219 million RSD) were used from "own account."

TS added that the latter was also from the state budget as support of  the parliamentary parties, "though it's called differently."

"The reported expences of other 20 parties that took part in the elections were about 3.4 million Euro (400 million RSD)," TS said after the ACA corrected its data following a warning by the NGO.

The SNS coalition spent the majority of the money on TV marketing, spots and paid air time.

The Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) coalition spent 1.8 million Euro it collected from public sources, donation, own budget and a loan from AIK Bank.

The third political organisation that crossed the reduced three percent threshold, 'Aleksandar Sapic Salvation' Movement, covered its expenses of 484.475 Euro partly form the state budget and from own account.
