“As far as I was told by (Serbian President Aleksandar) Vucic, preparations for this meeting only covered an economic framework. Everything that could be part of a normalization of relations, daily life, road and rail infrastructure, freedom of movement for people, goods and capital,” he told the Serbian state TV. He said that nothing has been prepared for a possible discussion of status, a possible political framework, status.
According to the foreign minister, the US administration would not have organized the meeting without the approval of Pristina. He said that earlier meetings in Washington “were just pressure on us to recognize Kosovo and now a compromise is being sought”. Dacic said that some European Union member states are not happy with what the US is doing because they feel that this is something the EU should be doing. “On the other hand, Serbia can’t correct things in international affairs, we will take part in activities intended to resolve this problem,” he said.
