Pavlovic was stopped by unidentified men who seized her mobile phone after she took pictures of President Vucic’s son Danilo in the company of a member of an organized crime clan, KRIK said.

Prosecutor Vojkan Ilic found that Pavlovic was never in danger and was not stopped by police officers. The prosecutor did not find out who the unidentified men were and wrongly claimed that the street where the incident took place was not covered by security cameras. Pavlovic was stopped by police officers before the incident who checked her ID and told her to wait for a patrol car to take her to the station when two men approached, grabbed her phone when she tried to phone her editor and the police did not react, KRIK said adding that the phone was returned after the known criminal who was in the company of the younger Vucic approached and ordered the men to hand it back. The police had gone by then.

KRIK demanded an investigation but the prosecutor concluded that they were not police officers. It said that the prosecutor did not interview the younger Vucic or any of the men with him.
