FIAT Serbia union leader confirms resumption of production

FCA Independent Union deputy leader Nebojsa Mandaric said that production resumed following a two-day break. He did not specify how many days the plant would operate to the end of September, adding that production is based on demand. “FIAT does not make cars to stockpile but for the market,” he said.  

Mandaric expressed hope that the FCA Serbia plant would begin production of a new model.  

FIAT Chrysler Serbia sent its employees on paid leave when the state of emergency was declared in March. Production at the plant resumed several weeks ago.
