Open Society Foundation Director Milan Antonijevic said that the Serbian authorities and opposition would continue the dialogue launched last year with the mediation of the European Parliament.

Antonijevic told NewsMax Adria the dialogue will be organized within the next few weeks or few months, depending on the coronavirus pandemic. He said that some in the opposition are interested in continuing the dialogue. “Civil society organizations are capable and ready to join in the dialogue and it will be resumed with partners from the academic community and everyone else prepared to take part in it,” Antonijevic said.

Newsmax Adria asked senior Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) official Vladimiru Orlic whether the party will take part in talks with non-parliamentary parties but got no reply. Orlic was part of the SNS delegation to last year’s talks.
