Opposition leader: Vucic’s brother more dangerous than Serbian President himself

"I'd dare to say that Andrej Vucic is a braver and more dangerous guy than Aleksandar, and therefore smarter, able to knows how to hide his tracks and that he is much more reminiscent of a serious mobster like Milo Djukanovic than his brother who only pretends to be something dangerous, but in fact, he is a big coward,” added Obradovic.

Last week, Obradovic received a court summons regarding the incident in front of the Assembly, in which he took part together with the Minister of Health, Zlatibor Loncar, and MP Marijan Risticevic. When asked what kind of trial he expects, he said:

"I must admit I am delighted with the new timeliness and efficiency in the work of the First Basic Public Prosecutor's Office and the First Basic Court in Belgrade regarding this case. Where would we be now had they been so fast and effective in numerous scandals or in connection with the murder of (Serbia's opposition politician in Kosovo) Oliver Ivanovic and a woman killed by an official car transporting Serbia Corridors' Director Zoran Babic) Stanika Gligorijevic… Justice is not justice if it does not apply to everyone equally. That is why in Serbia today, the feeling of injustice is perhaps even more pronounced than poverty and is a greater motive for young people to go abroad."

Asked if he was afraid of a possible prison sentence, he replied: "It's true that this is, as far as I know, the first trial of an opposition leader who faces up to five years in prison. But we have all been living under this rule for nine years. In this case, there is so much insistence that by punishing us, everyone else would give up at the very thought of new protests in front of the Assembly. I personally stand behind all my actions and I am ready to answer for them."
