FIAT plant reopens, more production breaks coming
The Nezavisnost Union at the FIAT Chrysler Serbia plant in the city of Kragujevac said on Wednesday that production of the 500L model had resumed after a break from October 9 to 20 when staff was sent on paid leave.
Union leader Zoran Stanic told the Beta news agency that he learned from suppliers that production would end with Thursday, October 22, adding that similar breaks would come in November and December. He said that the plant management has told employees nothing about possible paid leave.
Stanic said that the plant will have a total of some 60 working days in 2020.
