Russia's Lavrov to postpone visit to region over contact with infected person

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will have to be in self-isolation after being in contact with a person infected with the new coronavirus and postpone visits to Bosnia, Croatia and Serbia, TASS news agency reported Tuesday, referring to the Department of Information and Press of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

TASS reported that Lavrov felt good but that all planned visits and meetings will be postponed lending the end of the self-isolation period.

Bosnian Foreign Minister Bisera Turkovic was supposed to meet with Lavrov on Wednesday, who was to pay a working visit to the country. After the meeting between Turkovic and Lavrov, an official meeting of the delegations of the two ministries was also planned, the Ministry said.

The Ministry told N1 they still have not received official information on the postponement of Lavrov’s visit which was set to take place Wednesday.
