Healthcare authorities in Bosnia have reported on Friday that at least another 1,449 people have tested positive for the coronavirus and another 30 passed away due to COVID-19 in the previous 24 hours.

Of the 2,540 people tested in Bosnia’s Federation (FBiH) region since Thursday, 801 were positive and another 21 died due to COVID-19, the FBiH Public Health Institute said.

The other semi-autonomous entity, Republika Srpska (RS), saw another 648 coronavirus cases among the 1,227 samples tested. Nine people passed away due to the disease in the RS Since Thursday.

According to the Ministry of Civil Affairs, more than 48,000 people have tested positive for the coronavirus in Bosnia since the beginning og the epidemic and some 28,000 have recovered so far.

Some 1,200 people have passed away due to COVID-19 in Bosnia.
