Believers and supporters of the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Serbian Orthodox Church lit on Saturday candles and paid homage to the late Bishop Amfilohije who will be buried on Sunday in the crypt of the Church of Christ's Resurrection in Podgorica.
The Serb Orthodox Bishop died on Friday in the Podgorica hospital at the age of 83 from COVID-19.

The liturgy in the Podgorica church will be served by the patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Irinej. Several Montenegrin cities declared Sunday a day of mourning.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced he plans to attend the funeral of the bishop.
