Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Zorana Mihajlovic spoke out against insults of women just days after a folk singer made offensive remarks against N1 reporter Zaklina Tatalovic.

Singer Aca Lukas, a known supporter of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), made the remarks during a live appearance on the Hit Tvit talk show on the pro-government TV Pink. Mihajlovic is a senior official of the SNS.

“Although I sometimes think that it’s best to ignore the primitives, it’s important to tell them – that’s enough,” Mihajlovic wrote on her Instagram profile. She did not name Tatalovic or Lukas nor did she say whether her post was about any specific incident.

“I will never understand the desire to insult women. I don’t believe anyone normal can do that,” the post said.
