MEP: EU won’t open new chapters with Serbia due to deteriorating of democracy
The European Union would not open any new chapter in the accession negotiating with Serbia in 2020 due to what the bloc saw as the deteriorating state of democracy in the country, Viola von Cramon, a member of the European Parliament said on Friday.
She tweeted that was good news, considering attacks on media, violence against peaceful demonstrators and elections with serious problems.

Von Cramon is also a member of the EP Committee on Foreign Affairs, EP Rapporteur for relations with the Western Balkans in charge of Kosovo, and the EP's Greens Shadow Rapporteurs for Serbia
