Bulgaria's leading telecommunications company, VIVACOM, which operates within the United Group, is ranked among the top five fastest-growing providers of satellite services for business users in the world, according to the World Satellite Communications Association (WTA).

SBB and its services EON and Total TV operate within the United Group, the leading telecommunications and media operator in Southeast Europe, and media content is broadcast by television and portals Sport Klub, Nova S and N1.

VIVACOM ranked fifth on the list of „Fast 10“ for 2020.

The WTA publishes an annual ranking of companies engaged in the transmission of satellite signals for commercial purposes. The ranking criterion is the growth of annual revenue in the last fiscal year.

„VIVACOM operates one of the largest and most modern satellite communications facilities in the region, Plana Teleport, which has antennas aimed at some of the most popular satellites covering Europe, Africa, Latin America, the Middle East and Asia, enabling video and VSAT services in the regions,“ the associations said.

It added their users of satellite services are some of the largest media corporations in the world, satellite operators, shipping companies and system integrators.

Plana Teleport also provides services to the United Group’s satellite platform, Total TV, which is the leading DTH (direct-to-home) platform in Southeast Europe.

VIVACOM provides internet service in one of the most difficult places in the world – Antarctica, as well as satellite connection to ships in the Black, Red, North and Mediterranean seas and data transmission to corporate clients in Latin America.
