Some 6,100 refugees currently in centres for asylum seekers in Serbia, NGO says

Group 484, an NGO dealing with the issue of migrants, said on Thursday, on the eve of the International Day of Migrants, there were some 6,100 people in reception and centres for asylum seekers in Serbia.

The Group added that migrants in Serbia were mostly from Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq and Bangladesh.
It said that, according to the UNHCR office in Serbia, 17 cases of coronavirus infection among migrants had been confirmed since the beginning of the epidemic.
Earlier, the Commissariat for Refugeeshas said Serbia currently has 6,015 migrants in 19 reception and asylum centres across the country, among whom there are 660 children.
