Kosovo reports 223 new coronavirus cases, eight deaths

In the last 24 hours, 223 new cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in Kosovo, eight people have died and 342 patients have recovered, the Kosovo Institute of Public Health said on Sunday.

According to KoSSev, 1,001 people have been tested for coronavirus since the last update.

Positive cases were registered in the following municipalities – Pristina (72), Podujevo (26), South Mitrovica (23), Fushë Kosovë (20), Gjilan (13), Obilic (12), Vushtrri (9), Lipjan (7), Glogovac (6), Prizren (6), Kamenica (5), Peja (5), in Gjakova, Malisevo and Rahovec three cases each, Srbica and Suva Reka two and one case each in Dragash, Ferizaj, Istok, Klina, Vitina and Zubin Potok.

The total number of those who recovered in Kosovo is 36,568.

Since the beginning of the epidemic, 172,155 people have been tested, 48,905 were positive for the novel coronavirus, while the number of active cases is 11,081. So far, 1,256 patients have died.
