Serbian Parliament Speaker Ivica Dacic and European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs chair David McAllister agreed on Tuesday to continue talks on the inter-party dialogue after the New Year holiday.
A statement from the Speaker’s cabinet said that they lent support to the continued dialogue in the Serbian parliament in line with the agreement reached in letters between former Speaker Maja Gojkovic and McAllister in September 2019.
“David McAllister emphasized the importance that the European Union attaches to the continuation of the inter-party dialogue and welcomed the readiness to continue it soon,” the statement said.
It added that Dacic informed McAllister that the Serbian parliament would debate the European Commission's 2020 Progress Report on Serbia next week for the first time in plenary session.
