Vladimir Bilčík, the European Parliament (EP) Rapporteur for Serbia, said on Wednesday that the EP Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET) adopted his report on Serbia with the amendments calling on the authorities in Belgrade to resolve several issues, including the affairs at the Krusik munitions plant, Jovanjica marijuana farm and Telekom Serbia dealings.

Bilčík tweeted the report was supported by 57 Committee’s members, while four were against and nine abstained.

On Tuesday, AFET voted in favour of amendments to the report.

It also demanded sanctions for public attacks and hate speech in Serbia’s Parliament against Tanja Fajon, the chair of the Delegation to the EU-Serbia Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee and other MEPs, political opponents, independent media and journalists.

That was, according to the report, “the violation of the basic democratic values.”

It also called on the political players to continue the inter-party dialogue on elections’ conditions in the country ahead of the 2020 vote.
