Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama said on Monday that Tirana will present a resolution to the Council of Europe (CoE) disproving a report on war crimes committed in his country.

Rama told a news conference with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti that Albania will present the resolution which claims that a report by Swiss Senator Dik Marti is completely groundless. Marti’s investigation into Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) war crimes resulted in the report to the CoE which said there is proof that the KLA organized the harvesting of organs from live donors inside Albania at a site called the yellow house.

“We are preparing the resolution for the Albanian parliament and then I will personally go to Strasbourg and present it there,” Rama said. He said that he would also speak about Russian influence on the yellow house case and trade in body parts which has appeared in different contexts. The Albanian prime minister claimed that none of the charges made in the report were included in indictments against former KLA commanders and Kosovo officials now standing trial in the Hague.
