Aleksinac without water for third consecutive day

The pipeline, which supplies water to the Aleksinac area, ruptured in the village of Subotinac on Saturday, August 3, around 9am.

Aleksinac municipal head Dalibor Radicevic told Beta news agency that efforts to fix the pipeline with a coupling failed, resulting in another shutdown on Sunday evening.

He explained that a specific type of coupling needed to fix the problem is currently out of stock, that it has been ordered but that delivery will take some time.

Radicevic noted that water tankers have been deployed to provide drinking water to residents in Aleksinac, Aleksinacki Rudnici, and Zitkovac.
