The first photo of Alon Ohel after his release surfaced on social media. The image, as reported by Israeli media, was taken shortly after his arrival in Israel, where the freed hostages, including Alon, crossed the border and underwent medical evaluations. They will soon be reunited with their families.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry announced that among the seven hostages freed in recent days is 24-year-old Alon Ohel, a young Israeli and Serbian citizen kidnapped on October 7, 2023, during Hamas’s attack on the Nova music festival.

Alon Ohel was one of hundreds of civilians abducted by Hamas during its attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. That assault killed approximately 1,200 people and saw more than 250 taken into the Gaza Strip. After over two years in captivity, Alon was finally released as part of a peace agreement between Israel and Hamas, which stipulates the release of all remaining hostages and a prisoner exchange.
